The Yard of my Dreams

The yard of my dreams
Is full of posies
An English Garden
Surrounded by roses

With kitchen herbs
Sweet peas and corn,
Tomatoes, beans,
Fresh eggs for the morn.

A white picket fence
Paired with ivy and ferns,
A guardian angel,
Midst arrangements of stones.

Tall graceful willows
The edges do gird,
Where the soft winding creek
Will welcome the birds.

And I will spend time
With my love, as I glow
In the pleasure of nature
While watching it grow.
