Bird Watchers

Sauntering purposefully along
Stopping and gazing at intervals,
Listening, and peering into the brush

Eyes darting to determine
The source of the trill,
Seeking feathered friends.

Enthralling in the discovery,
They lift their lenses,
Focusing on flitting wings

Motionless, they wait,
For a split second,
To capture delight.
