Foil blankets rustle,
The hard floor brings no rest.
Behind bars, yet innocent,
Our children suffocate

From misery they’ve fled
Into torment they’ve fallen ~
And the babes are alone;
Mother’s bosom is gone.

Sad eyes, seeking solace
Where none can be found,
Only hostile glances
Cold shoulders and disdain abound.

America, once the home of the brave,
No longer the flag of freedom waves ~
What’s next, America,
...Are you already digging graves?
