Reverence to the Song

Majestic silver maple,
Standing guard for centuries;
Stones beneath dot the ground,
Carved with loving epitaphs

Serenity of the deepest kind,
The world is quiet here;
Save birdsong and breeze,
Rustling leaves in the trees

Laid to rest for eternity,
They'd want us to go on;
Else who will enjoy
Nature's beautiful song?
